Job Description
Grupo 5 is a company specialized in managing and developing social and socio-healthcare services. We operate across more than 150 centers and services in areas including mental health, neurorehabilitation, elderly care, dependency support, social emergencies, homelessness, child protection, and social education.
Currently, we are seeking a Gerocultor Coordinator to join our 44-bed TRIANA RESIDENCE in Madrid, specializing in elderly care and mental health.
WHAT WILL YOU DO DAILY?
* Manage and coordinate gerocultors.
* Provide direct care, personal support, training, and supervision for activities related to self-care and daily living, promoting autonomy in this area and in users’ interactions with their environment.
* Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards according to each user’s individual care plan, respecting their privacy.
* Organize users’ time and maintain appropriate daily and mealtime routines, complying with internal regulations. Monitor and supervise users’ sleep hours and ensure rest occurs correctly.
* Correctly use technical aids and communication systems for users who require them.
* Provide individualized accompaniment and support to users to improve their physical, psychological, and psychosocial functioning.
* Implement individual intervention programs targeting behavioral habits, dressing routines, rehabilitation, monitoring, and documentation—coordinating with psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, registered nurses (DUEs), and other technical staff.
* Collaborate in recording problematic behaviors and other documentation that contributes to improving users’ quality of life by providing information to various professionals working with users.
* Carry out interventions following technical team guidelines, detailing progress in training and autonomy promotion across all life domains for each user, and sharing updates during monthly housing meetings.
* Collaborate in assessment and planning tasks across various psychosocial care and intervention areas: self-care, activities of daily living, psychomotor skills, leisure and free time, community integration, etc.
* Accompany, support, and supervise users during training and activities within the environment and when using socio-community resources (e.g., participation in local festivals and community events).
* Accompany and train users toward autonomy in psychosocial and leisure/free-time areas, pursuing normalization and community integration goals established by the center’s technical team—including supporting users during annual vacations and occasional organized outings.
