Mercer’s training program aims to ensure that external academic internships carried out by students at the company enable them to apply the knowledge acquired during their studies and develop professional competencies.
The primary objective of these internships is to integrate students into the professional environment through supervised practical activities that foster the development of both technical and cross-functional competencies.
We are seeking a highly talented student to join our **Mercer** team at our **MADRID** office.
**You will work under the supervision of your assigned mentor to:**
* Collaborate with the development and business teams to understand software requirements and acceptance criteria.
* Support the design, implementation, and execution of manual test cases.
* Participate in regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation testing in the Production (PROD) environment.
* Assist in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects found during testing.
* Collaborate with the team to improve QA processes and contribute ideas and suggestions for improvement.
**What you need to have:**
* Academic background in computer science, software engineering, or related STEM fields.
* Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, testing principles, agile methodologies, and basic programming in languages such as: Python, Java, or JavaScript, Visual Basic .NET, SQL, etc.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
* English level B2 or equivalent, enabling you to read and comprehend technical documentation, as well as listen and understand in meetings with international technical teams.
* Optional: Experience with incident management tools such as JIRA, Salesforce, web technologies, APIs, and mobile application testing is valued.
