It is not a socio-healthcare assistance or gerocare position.** **Job Description** At Comedores Blanco, we are seeking Service Assistants with experience in collective catering, preferably in elderly residences, socio-healthcare centers, hospitals, day centers, or similar services. The selected candidate will join the residence's food service team and will be primarily responsible for preparing the dining room, distributing and serving meals, clearing tables, cleaning the dining room and pantry, washing dishes and kitchenware, and maintaining hygiene standards in the service area. We seek individuals accustomed to working with residential populations, where it is especially important to respect each user’s assigned menus and diets, maintain proper food hygiene, and provide respectful and caring service. **Main Responsibilities** Dining Room Service: setting up and arranging tables, organizing the dining room before each service, distributing and serving breakfasts, lunches, snacks, or dinners according to the assigned shift, and subsequently clearing and dismantling tables. Diet Control: assisting in the accurate distribution of meals according to instructions received, with special attention to special diets, puréed foods, modified textures, intolerances, and allergens. The assistant must strictly adhere to the identification of each diet and must not make modifications independently. Pantry and Cleaning: washing and properly sanitizing dishes, cutlery, trays, trolleys, containers, and other utensils used during service; operating industrial dishwashers when applicable; and maintaining order and cleanliness in the pantry. Supporting Food Service: preparing and organizing trolleys, trays, water, bread, cutlery, and other items necessary for meal distribution, as well as internally transporting food trolleys when required. Food Hygiene and Safety: complying with cleaning and disinfection procedures, HACCP, food handling practices, prevention of cross-contamination, and allergen control. Residence Care: maintaining appropriate, respectful, and patient conduct toward residents during service, and promptly reporting any observed incidents related to the food service to the supervisor. **Requirements** Previous experience as a service assistant, collective catering assistant, dining room/pantry assistant, or similar role is required; experience in elderly residences, socio-healthcare centers, hospitals, or collective catering is especially valued. It is important that the candidate is accustomed to providing food service for a large number of users, understands basic food hygiene and handling regulations, and is able to perform dining room, pantry, washing, and cleaning tasks related to the service.
