We build the API\-driven trading and custody layers that enable banks and asset managers to integrate digital assets into their offerings. As a Python Engineer, you will join a high\-security, regulatory\-first environment to develop the scalable backend systems and financial integrations that bridge the gap between traditional finance and the Web3 ecosystem. **Requirements** * 5\+ Years Python Expertise: Mastery of Python 3\.x and high\-performance frameworks like FastAPI or Django. * KYC/Compliance Integration: Proven experience integrating identity verification providers (e.g., IDnow, Onfido, Sumsub) and managing automated onboarding workflows. * System Architecture: Ability to design robust State Machines for user verification statuses and scalable microservices via Docker/Kubernetes. * Data Security \& GDPR: Deep understanding of handling PII (Personally Identifiable Information), encryption, and secure API design within a regulated environment. * Financial Backend Logic: Experience with asynchronous processing (Celery, RabbitMQ) and complex database management (PostgreSQL) for audit\-ready financial systems. * Regulated Fintech Background: Previous experience in a BaFin, FCA, or similar regulated environment is highly preferred. * Experience in FinTech is preferable. **Responsibilities:** * Architect KYC Workflows: Design and maintain scalable, automated onboarding pipelines that integrate with identity verification providers * Develop Core Services: Build high\-performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI/Django) to handle sensitive financial data. * Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Implement and enforce strict data privacy standards (GDPR) and security protocols required by BaFin for PII handling. * Optimize State Management: Manage complex user verification lifecycles, ensuring high reliability and accurate audit trails for compliance teams. * Collaborate Cross\-Functionally: Partner with Product, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications. * Maintain Technical Excellence: Lead code reviews, mentor mid\-level engineers, and drive the adoption of testing best practices and CI/CD automation. * Scalable Infrastructure: Deploy and monitor microservices within a cloud\-native environment using Docker, Kubernetes, and asynchronous task queues **Benefits** * Awesome projects with an impact * Udemy courses of your choice * Team\-buildings, events, marathons \& charity activities to connect and recharge * Workshops, trainings, expert knowledge\-sharing that keep you growing * Clear career path * Absence days for work\-life balance * Flexible hours \& work setup \- work from anywhere and organize your day your way
