Description
In Terrassa, we are seeking a grinder operator to perform high-precision finishing on metal parts and gears, ensuring extremely tight dimensional tolerances. Work will be carried out using internal, external, and flank grinding machines—both conventional and CNC—to remove excess material and achieve the exact tooth profile on gears. This task is critical in the final production stage, as the ultimate product quality depends on it.
Additionally, complex technical drawings will be interpreted, identifying geometric and dimensional tolerances, and machine parameters will be adjusted to meet specifications. Continuous quality checks will be conducted using high-precision metrology instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). Participation in the setup and programming of grinding machines is also required, optimizing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
The work environment consists of a highly skilled technical team that values precision and commitment to quality. Working hours follow a fixed afternoon shift, facilitating work-life balance. A competitive salary commensurate with experience is offered, along with development opportunities through the use of state-of-the-art CNC grinding machinery and ongoing training in advanced grinding techniques.
Minimum two years’ verifiable experience as a grinder for metal parts or gears. Proficiency in interpreting machining technical drawings, including dimensional and geometric tolerances. Fluent handling of precision metrology and measurement tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs. Knowledge of setup, programming, or adjustment of both CNC and conventional grinding machines. Minimum qualification: Intermediate Vocational Training (FP Grado Medio) in Machining or equivalent. Residence near Terrassa or willingness to commute to the area.
