The **Family Group Conference** is a methodology originating from the Māori people of New Zealand that facilitates the participation of different family members and their social support network in decision-making regarding the care and protection of children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability. We can say that, as a social action methodology, the Family Group Conference promotes grassroots network collaboration by bringing families and communities together in a different form of cooperation with institutions.
