




Position Summary: AFANIAS is seeking a Social Integration Technician to support the autonomy and quality of life of individuals with intellectual disabilities, facilitating their holistic and social development. Key Responsibilities: 1. Comprehensive support for individuals with intellectual disabilities in natural settings. 2. Development of Individual Support Programs and integration activities. 3. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and coordination with educational teams. The AFANIAS family association was founded in 1964 and works daily to become a leading organization in the field of intellectual disability, with social presence and influence, promoting the autonomy and quality of life of individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families, while addressing their lifelong needs. In this context, one position for a Social Integration Technician is open for our Early Intervention and Comprehensive Support Service (8.45 h/week, CARABANCHEL area). The role’s mission is to support users in natural settings. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist users in overcoming barriers, obstacles, or difficulties hindering their holistic development, ensuring their continued participation and progress. * Identify users’ needs and determine the individualized support measures required. * Develop Individual Support Programs, monitoring reports, evaluations, etc. * Attend meetings with the Center’s multidisciplinary team and maintain constant coordination with educational teams. * Plan social integration activities applying the most appropriate resources and methodological strategies. * Design, implement, and evaluate physical and psychosocial support activities tailored to children’s characteristics and contextual factors. * Organize and implement psychosocial support activities, as well as training in personal and social autonomy skills. * Support users in acquiring personal and social autonomy skills, including establishing interpersonal relationships. * Stimulate users’ constructive communication with their environment, promoting integration into educational and social settings. * Collaborate in conflict resolution through application of specific techniques. * Coordinate with the Center’s management in analyzing needs and defining intervention measures. * Qualifications: Social Integration Technician qualification. Other qualifications in social, educational, or related fields will be valued. * Minimum one year of experience in similar roles, active support, cognitive accessibility, and new technologies. * Strong customer-service orientation, teamwork capability, and organizational skills. * Demonstrated high capacity for autonomous and proactive work. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to listen attentively and ask appropriate questions to identify users’ needs. * Positive attitude and practical problem-solving approach. * Administrative and organizational skills. * Ability to encourage non-disabled individuals or those without challenges to become more understanding toward people with differences. * Written communication and ICT skills to produce clear evaluations. * Commitment to service and social responsibility. * Flexibility and adaptability.
