Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced driver in the food industry to optimize routes, manage loading and unloading, maintain the vehicle, and ensure excellent customer service. Prior experience in commercial driving is desirable. Logistics training and updated driving license, as well as mechanical training. Production: o Organize resources to carry out the assigned route under the terms and conditions specified by orders. o Perform pre-operational checks: cleaning, detection of foreign objects, and preparation of work equipment. o Plan the optimal route and load the van according to deliveries to be made and/or raw materials to be collected. o Carry out the planned route and related movements, observing traffic regulations carefully. o Supervise product delivery to recipients in good condition and within scheduled timeframes; receive proof of receipt and/or payment for the order and complete the settlement sheet. o Collect raw materials or product returns, as instructed. o Unload collected products at the destination, deliver the delivery note to the warehouse, and assist in product placement according to warehouse instructions. o Monitor truck temperature to preserve finished product temperature, based on the label of the most temperature-sensitive product. o Clean and maintain the truck in accordance with established cleaning and disinfection plans. o Conduct daily vehicle inspections at the start and end of each shift: immediately report any issues or malfunctions to the relevant department using a checklist. o Coordinate with personnel from other departments when necessary — e.g., warehouse, cold rooms, customer service. o Be attentive and available to support other sections, always informing your supervisor first. Quality and Food Safety: o Visual quality control: truck temperature at the loading dock, documentary verification (delivery note and product), pest control inspection in the truck at the loading dock. o Self-control during truck loading — cleaning and pest control in the truck, secure loading without damage or falling of finished products, proper handling. o Adherence to quality and food safety standards set by the relevant departments. Occupational Risk Prevention: o Compliance with all occupational risk prevention (ORP) regulations, criteria, and training received, as well as strict attention to ORP signage present at the workplace and on machinery; immediate reporting of any incidents. o Proposals for improving productivity, processes, workspace organization, and ORP in all its aspects. o Workplace order, cleanliness, and maintenance. o Strict observance of traffic rules: no alcohol consumption, no mobile phone use while driving, no speeding, etc. * 2 years’ experience. We seek a driver with experience in the food industry who aims to optimize routes in Tarragona and Mercabarna. Responsibilities include loading and unloading goods, ensuring their integrity and proper management of delivery notes. Basic vehicle and refrigeration unit maintenance commitment is essential, as is compliance with road safety regulations.
