Newrest is looking for a **PURCHASING TECHNICIAN** for its catering operations in Madrid (San Fernando de Henares) **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Carry out negotiation tasks with suppliers. * Conduct studies of existing suppliers, market benchmarking, and improvement proposals. * Comply with the Company's Purchasing Policy, optimizing cost/quality/service/delivery parameters. * Monitor supplier performance in line with objectives defined by management. * Monitor and control cost, quality, and service target indicators. * Continuously monitor product quality and delivery times with suppliers, as well as develop necessary actions to ensure compliance. * Provide support to centers, handle requests, track incidents and non-conformities. * Analyze purchasing processes and make optimization proposals. * Work within a team environment. * Manage various food categories; occasionally manage contracts related to general expenses. **REQUIREMENTS:** * Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, medium or higher vocational training, or similar fields. * Minimum five years of experience as a purchasing technician in food/material procurement. * Intermediate to advanced level of spoken and written English. * Advanced Excel skills. * Knowledge of the supplier sector. * Negotiation skills. **ABOUT Newrest:** Humility, simplicity, effectiveness, and sense of responsibility are Newrest's core values.
