Due to strong growth in our Energy | WSP business area, we seek to hire a **High Voltage Transmission Line Engineer** (OHL/UGC) for our Transmission team in Madrid or Valladolid, to lead the design and engineering review of overhead and underground high-voltage lines in national and international projects. **What will you do with us?** Your responsibilities will include: * Leading the design and engineering review of High Voltage Transmission Lines—both overhead (OHL) and underground (UGC)—across conceptual, basic, and detailed design phases. * Performing mechanical calculations—catenary, sag, tension, and climatic loads—and defining clearances, crossings, and insulation and safety criteria. * Preparing reports, drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ), providing technical support during tenders and procurement. * Coordinating interfaces with civil, structural, and substation disciplines, as well as collaborating on permitting processes (corridors, easements, and constraints). * Reviewing deliverables, ensuring quality through design checks, and supporting team growth by mentoring junior and intermediate engineers. **What are we looking for in you?** We seek a professional with a **degree in Technical or Senior Industrial Engineering (Electrical), Electrical Engineering, or equivalent**, **B2/C1 English proficiency**, and **over 10 years’ experience** in the design and review of High Voltage Transmission Lines (132–400 kV), plus significant exposure to High Voltage Underground Cables (UGC). Proficiency in PLS‑CADD and/or PLS‑TOWER is essential, along with AutoCAD and advanced Excel skills for calculations and report preparation. Solid knowledge of IEC/UNE standards, clearances, wind and ice loading, crossing criteria, and constructability aspects is also required. Knowledge of ampacity and UGC design using tools such as CYMCAP or equivalents—as well as bonding criteria and thermal studies—will be valued.
