Automation of routine tasks and alert monitoring ### **Madrid \- Central** At **Datatrends**, we are looking to strengthen the **Production Operations** team supporting a major national bank. We need someone who combines solid Linux \& scripting technical skills with an **operational management mindset**: maintaining platform stability, orchestrating deployments, and resolving business-impacting incidents. **What do we expect from you?** We would like you to bring the following knowledge and experience: **Experience:** * +3 years administering Linux environments in production (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu or similar). * Advanced Bash scripting (task automation, deployments, cron, etc.). * Design and optimization of SQL queries (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle or similar). * Ability to read and understand C code fluently. **Personal competencies:** * Proactivity, results orientation, and sense of responsibility: operations directly impact the bank’s customers. **Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:** * **Operating the production environment**: applying planned changes (maintenance windows), executing procedures, and ensuring SLA compliance. * **Automating routine tasks** using Bash (batch launchers, housekeeping, job control, etc.). * **Monitoring and responding** to alerts (APM, logs, metrics) — from initial diagnosis through to final ticket closure. * **Analyzing and modifying SQL queries and data structures**, applying functional and performance adjustments when a service or batch process degrades response times or requires new features. * **Reviewing C code** (core-banking modules) to understand operational impacts and facilitate production rollout. * **Coordinating with development, security, and business teams**: change management, releases, and incident handling. #### **Education** Technical Engineer or Higher Engineer / Bachelor’s Degree / Higher Vocational Training (FP Grado Superior) #### **We Offer** * Professional development. * Innovative and technologically advanced projects. * Permanent contract. * Competitive salary commensurate with experience and skills.
