Currently, we are strengthening our team and looking to hire a **Database Administrator** with experience in the **banking sector** to join our team in Madrid. **What will be your role?** * Migrate large-scale databases from Oracle to AWS RDS PostgreSQL. * Collaborate with developers to analyze and improve query and database performance. * Identify and implement improvements in database structure to increase efficiency and scalability. * Optimize data access strategies to reduce the number of queries executed by the application. Troubleshoot performance issues related to Hibernate and other ORM frameworks. * **Technical skills:** * Proven experience managing PostgreSQL and Oracle databases. * Experience in database migration, backup, and recovery (especially from Oracle to PostgreSQL). * Strong knowledge of SQL, query optimization, and database performance tuning. * Experience with Hibernate or other ORM frameworks, including performance issue resolution. * Familiarity with AWS RDS and cloud database solutions. * Experience with database versioning tools such as Liquibase or Flyway. * Knowledge of best practices in database security. * Ability to work in Scrum teams and estimate task effort. * Proficiency with tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
