We are looking to onboard **4 Senior Data Engineers** with solid cloud experience to participate in end-to-end data engineering initiatives. This role targets professionals with a holistic architectural and solution-building perspective—capable of going beyond isolated pipeline development to design reusable frameworks, platforms, and components that support scalable and robust data ecosystems. The successful candidate will assume full responsibility for the entire development lifecycle—from design and construction through testing, deployment, and evolution of AWS-based data solutions. They will participate in defining and implementing data lake, lakehouse, or data mesh architectures, collaborating closely with other data engineering, analytics, and DevOps profiles to enable business solutions meeting scalability, maintainability, and data governance criteria. REQUIREMENTS **Mandatory** * Senior-level Data Engineer experience, with more than 5 years in cloud environments * Solid experience in end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of data solutions * Ability to build data frameworks and platforms—not just individual pipelines * Advanced proficiency in **Spark / Scala** * Advanced proficiency in **Python** * Advanced proficiency in **SQL** * Solid experience in **AWS**, especially with the following services: * S3 * Glue * Athena * EMR * EC2 * Lambda * Experience in **ETL design** and **data modeling** * Knowledge and experience with **data lake**, **lakehouse**, or **data mesh** architectures * Ability to understand business processes and make technical decisions with an end-to-end perspective * Strong analytical capability to anticipate edge cases, scalability risks, and future impacts * Problem-solving orientation and attention to detail * Fluent English, **C1 level**, mandatory for performing the role * University degree in technology, preferably in computer science or related disciplines **Desirable** * Familiarity with **CI/CD tools**, such as **GitHub Actions** * Experience with **Apache Iceberg** or equivalent table formats * Exposure to data quality frameworks such as **Great Expectations** or **Deequ** * Knowledge of **Bash** * Knowledge of **HCL** * Preference for candidates located in cities where SG Tech has a presence, although highly skilled remote candidates will also be considered
