Position Summary: We are seeking a Quality Control Technician for the food industry, responsible for managing food safety, quality, environmental matters, and product development. Key Highlights: 1. Manages food safety (HACCP) and quality management systems (ISO 9001, IFS). 2. Coordinates audits, permits, and supplier approvals. 3. Participates in new product development and continuous improvement projects. A qualified Quality Control Technician is sought for a food industry company located in Mataró. Key responsibilities for this position include implementing and managing the HACCP food safety system, ensuring compliance with all regulations during production. Internal and external audits, as well as certification processes for quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and IFS, will also be supervised. Approval of technical specifications, supplier qualification, and label review to ensure legal compliance will be essential functions. Development and management of quality and waste plans, as well as coordination of permits and licenses, are expected. The professional will also be involved in health and safety and environmental activities, including audits, contaminant control, and occupational risk management. Participation in the implementation of quality and food safety systems, as well as in new product development projects, will also form part of the role. Working hours will be full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on rotating shifts. * Proven prior experience in quality, food safety, and environmental management (minimum 2 years). * Ability to coordinate audits, manage permits, and collaborate across departments. * Strong planning, organizational, and teamwork skills. * Residence near the workplace is an advantage. Proficiency in spoken and written Catalan and/or Spanish. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology or related field.
