Vidya Academy is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and reliable English teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 academic year, with the opportunity to grow into a long\-term role. We're a small, independent English academy in Bordils (Girona), where we believe languages are learned through communication, creativity and confidence. Our classes are highly personalised, our groups are small (maximum six students), and we focus on creating a welcoming environment where students feel safe, motivated and excited to learn. **About the role** You'll teach a variety of classes, including: * Young learners through games, songs, stories and movement * Primary school children * Teenagers in small groups * Adult learners * One\-to\-one private lessons * Cambridge exam preparation (training and support provided if needed) Most classes take place Monday to Thursday in the afternoons, with opportunities for additional private lessons, morning classes and intensive courses during school holidays and the summer. **We're looking for someone who:** * Is a native or near\-native English speaker (C2 level). * Has experience teaching children, teenagers and/or adults. * Holds a teaching qualification (CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, PGCE or equivalent), or is committed to ongoing professional development. * Is organised, reliable and positive. * Enjoys creating engaging, communicative lessons. * Builds genuine relationships with students and their families. * Wants to be part of a small academy where every teacher makes a real difference. * Has the legal right to work in Spain. * Spanish or Catalan is a plus, but not essential. **What we offer** * Small groups (maximum six students). * A supportive, collaborative team. * Teaching materials and mentoring. * Cambridge training and ongoing professional support. * A calm, positive working environment. * Opportunities to develop professionally and grow within the academy. * A clear pathway to a long\-term position for teachers who become part of the Vidya Academy community. **Working hours** Approximately 16–20 teaching hours per week, mainly in the afternoons, with the possibility of increasing hours through private lessons, exam preparation and summer courses. **Salary** Competitive hourly rate, based on experience and qualifications. **Why Vidya Academy?** We're looking for someone who wants more than just teaching hours.
