WASTE COLLECTION WORKERS (TEMPORARY)

Job Summary: We are seeking waste collection workers for temporary contracts, performing tasks such as waste collection, assisting drivers, and cleaning. Key Highlights: 1. Experience valued in the waste sector or logistics environments Serveis Ambientals del Vallès Oriental, S.A. requires temporary staff to fill the position of waste collection worker. • Travel to respective municipalities to begin waste collection and follow established routes. • Open lids, remove container brakes, and remove existing waste. • Transport the container to the lifting systems of the collection truck. • Empty the container and remove any waste that may fall during emptying; clean the area if necessary using brooms and shovels. • Return the container to its original location and ensure it is securely closed with brakes engaged. • Assist the collection truck driver during maneuvers. • Report any incidents observed on public roads to the collection truck driver. • Clean and maintain collection trucks. • For door-to-door services, correctly use identification systems, separately collect designated waste fractions according to scheduled collection days, and properly position bins. • Manually collect bags distributed along streets and load them into trucks; affix labels, notices, and other communication materials inside bins or attach labels to bags as specified by the company’s technical service. • For bulky waste collection, lift and transport waste items to the truck; when full, unload contents at designated landfills, separating each material into the corresponding compartment. • For pruning waste collection, assist the truck driver in collecting bundles placed on public roads. • Other duties appropriate to the worker category, depending on company needs. * Minimum 1 year of experience. a) Experience in the waste sector performing waste collection services, municipal teams, or landfill management. b) Experience in warehouses or logistics centers performing loading/unloading, order preparation, material sorting, etc. c) Experience in industrial environments performing assembly line tasks, material handling, etc. * Completion of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) with official qualification * Spanish (spoken: advanced, written: advanced) * Catalan (spoken: basic, written: basic) * Personal vehicle available * Driving license: Class B * Temporary employment contract (6 months) * Full-time working hours * Additional relevant information: Gross annual remuneration: 24\.505,49 €
