Description
We are seeking a Gentle Yoga Instructor to join the Physical Activity and Health Programme of Roda de Ter. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading gentle yoga sessions aimed at improving participants' mobility, flexibility, balance, breathing, and physical and emotional well-being, adapting the practice to the group's characteristics and promoting safe, accessible, and high-quality activity. We seek a responsible, empathetic individual with a vocation for promoting physical activity and healthy habits.
\- Deliver gentle yoga sessions adapted to participants, promoting mobility, flexibility, balance, and physical and emotional well-being. \- Plan, prepare, and conduct sessions according to the established schedule. \- Adapt postures and exercises to the characteristics and needs of each group, ensuring safe practice. \- Guide breathing, relaxation, and body awareness exercises. \- Encourage participation, healthy habits, and a calm, respectful, and motivating environment. \- Monitor participant attendance and report any incidents occurring during the activity. \- Coordinate with the Sports Department and the service manager. \- Ensure proper use of equipment and municipal facilities. \- Comply with protocols and guidelines established for the Physical Activity and Health Programme.
* Minimum 1 year of experience. At least one year of verifiable experience teaching yoga or activities focused on improving mobility, flexibility, breathing, and physical well-being is required. Experience leading adult groups and adapting sessions to varying participant levels and needs will be especially valued.
* Competencies / knowledge: Particularly valued qualifications include: \- Valid registration in the Official Register of Sports Professionals of Catalonia (ROPEC). \- Verifiable experience teaching yoga or gentle yoga. \- Additional specialized training in yoga, therapeutic yoga, physical activity and health, functional anatomy, breathing techniques, relaxation, mobility, or related disciplines. \- Training in first aid, basic life support (BLS), and automated external defibrillator (AED) use. \- Ability to adapt sessions to different participant levels and needs. \- Communication skills, empathy, group facilitation, and teamwork. Submission of certificates verifying training, professional experience, and ROPEC registration will be positively considered.
