Identify guest reservation needs and determine the appropriate room type. Verify availability of room type and rate. Explain guarantee policies, special rates, and cancellation policies to callers. Handle and document special requests. Answer questions regarding hotel facilities, services, and room accommodations. Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue. Enter and access data in the reservation system. Indicate special room reservation types (e.g., complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agency inspection rates, and wholesale reservations) by entering the correct code and rate into the reservation system. Follow escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns. Comply with company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests and colleagues. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate their service needs and fulfill them; express genuine appreciation; assist guests with disabilities.
