From endlessly recyclable aluminum cans, and cups, to aerosol bottles, our goal is to contribute to a better community, society, and world. **PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:** -------------------------------------------- * Operate and maintain palletizing and strapping machinery according to company specifications and requirements, adhering to established objectives for safety, health and environment, quality, and efficiency. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** ---------------------- * Collaborate with shift team members to achieve company-mandated production, efficiency, and quality targets. * Maintain machinery, auxiliary mechanical equipment, and facilities within the assigned area in optimal working condition. * Ensure finished pallets meet the requirements and specifications of the manufactured product. * Perform quality controls for products and processes established for the area. * Record controls according to internal procedures. * Report identified deficiencies. * Inform Shift Supervisor or Team Leader of potential foreign cans found during line cleaning activities. * Carry out work in accordance with safety, health, and environmental standards, as well as quality, hygiene, safety, and food defense procedures. **ACTIVITIES:** ---------------- * Operate the palletizer in compliance with established Safety, Health and Environment standards and quality procedures. * Palletize finished products using installed mechanical means. * Maintain order in the empty pallet storage area. * Keep the can-free zone clean and free of cans from previous lithography runs. * First-response team member under the self-protection plan. * Backup for quality controllers. * Perform shift handovers or substitutions as required by operational needs. * Support fellow team members as needed. * Report anomalies, deficiencies, or malfunctions affecting work performance, production, quality, or potentially damaging products, machinery, or facilities to immediate supervisor. * Maintain assigned work area in perfect order and cleanliness. * Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks for the assigned area. * Participate in factory-wide maintenance and cleaning activities as scheduled. * Perform quality and food safety controls established by company procedures for the position. * Perform all tasks assigned within the area by the immediate supervisor, including data entry or recording to improve the information system, as well as those necessary for proper job performance and smooth company operations, in accordance with internal policies and procedures. * Proper handling of generated waste (e.g., separation of paper/cardboard from plastic). * Follow general guidelines to reduce consumption (e.g., turning off switches, not leaving taps running, efficient driving, etc.). * Report identified safety and health deficiencies. * Know and comply with the current year’s Occupational Risk Prevention Plan and Risk Assessment (including wearing designated PPE, etc.). **INTER-RELATIONSHIPS/INTER-COMMUNICATIONS:** ------------------------------------------------ * With other positions within the same shift impacting the role, and with the same position across preceding and following shifts. **CORE COMPETENCIES/KNOWLEDGE:** ---------------------------------------- * Higher Vocational Training Degree in Mechanics, Electricity, Quality, or related field. * Four years’ experience in a similar role is recommended. * Basic knowledge of operation and handling of semi-automatic and automatic machinery and associated installations within the area. * Basic knowledge of pneumatics and mechanics specific to the area is recommended. * General understanding of Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental (ISO 14001), Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 45001), and Food Safety (ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000) procedures applicable to job-specific tasks. * Basic knowledge of the production process. * Office software proficiency at basic user level. * Basic English language skills. * Responsibility, independence, and autonomy. * Coordination and teamwork. * Stress tolerance.
