Occupational Therapist in the Hospitalization Service. (Maternity Leave Substitution)

The Fundació Pere Mata Terres de l’Ebre, Private Foundation, needs to hire an Occupational Therapist for the Hospitalization Service. Position Description Position Name: Occupational Therapist Category: Occupational Therapist Group / Level: Group 2 Reporting to: Head of Hospitalization Service. Contract Type: 60% working hours contract (to cover maternity leave substitution). A four-month probation period will be established within the service. Working Hours and Schedule: Monday to Friday (36 hours/week). From 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and one afternoon until 4:00 PM. Main Location: Hospitalization The Occupational Therapist, as a healthcare professional with expertise in the overall assessment and evaluation of individuals, their capabilities and limitations, possesses sociosanitary knowledge within the field of rehabilitation, enabling intervention in three key areas: self-maintenance, productivity, and leisure. Service Portfolio: \- Conduct assessments of the individual's capabilities and limitations (sensory, cognitive, social, and psychological). \- Develop and evaluate rehabilitation treatment programs with corresponding objectives. \- Involve the patient in their treatment plan. \- Train and re-educate individuals in basic and instrumental activities of daily living. \- Train in the use of assistive devices whenever necessary, compensating for limitations. \- Design and prescribe assistive devices, as well as train individuals in their use. \- Adapt environments and develop programs to eliminate architectural barriers. Provide advice to families, users, and professionals from other specialties. \- Assess transportation means and possible adaptations. \- Enable individuals to achieve the highest possible degree of socio-labor reintegration as active community members. \- Help individuals readjust their daily habits. \- Reintegrate individuals into their daily lives and environment under the best possible conditions. Occupational Therapist Functions: \- Evaluate individual capabilities and personal functioning. \- Work on patient engagement in their therapeutic plan. \- Involve parents in the therapeutic approach. \- Train and re-educate in daily activities (basic and instrumental activities of daily living). \- Ensure the individual achieves an optimal level of autonomy. \- Guide and train skills required to utilize community resources. \- Adapt the environment to the individual's needs (space modifications, visual aids, etc.), as well as identify architectural barriers to ensure maximum participation. \- Assess, prescribe, and advise on various support products that promote autonomy according to functional abilities. \- Accompany individuals in restoring and recovering their roles and occupations. \- Rediscover lost related interests. \- Occupational awareness: Provide tools to enhance self-knowledge and equip individuals with strategies to carry out meaningful activities/occupations with a specific goal at a given time. \- Occupational prescription: Use occupation as a channel to address occupational and/or emotional disorganization. Facilitate interest identification and advise on the most suitable active community resource for the individual. \- Coordinate and follow up with various community resources to ensure proper integration. \- Promote social participation in other community contexts. Facilitate access to community resources and active agents. \- Collaborate in defining educational pathways or labor integration and life projects for adolescents. Academic Requirements Qualification: Degree in Occupational Therapy Professional Competencies \- Ability to provide support in the individual’s natural environment and adapt social and community resources to facilitate recovery. \- Ability to detect psychosocial risk signs. \- Ability to work in teams, collaborate, and network within healthcare services and with the community. \- Service orientation, evidence-based practices, and continuous improvement of care process quality. \- Communication and scientific research skills. \- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
