Siemens Digital Industries, a leader in innovation and technology in industrial automation and digitalization, is seeking a Junior Engineer with 2\-3 years of experience to join a highly qualified team. The team specializes in the **development of Automation, Industrial Communications, and Digitalization projects**, focused on the process industry sector.
**Main Responsibilities:**
The engineer will join the automation and project execution team for the development and implementation of industrial process control systems, participating throughout the entire project lifecycle:
* Development and programming of automation systems based on DCS, oriented toward continuous control and batch processes, in compliance with industrial standards.
* Application engineering in Siemens PCS 7 environments, including configuration of libraries, control blocks, process logic, alarms, interlocks, and recipe management.
* Configuration and commissioning of control hardware and software, including PLCs, remote I/O, industrial networks, and supervisory systems.
* Integration of industrial communications (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, OPC, etc.) and third-party systems.
* Preparation of technical specifications, engineering documentation (FDS, SDS, HDS, FAT/SAT tests), and operation manuals.
* Design, configuration, and maintenance of virtualized environments for control systems (servers, engineering stations, SCADA, historian).
* Participation in industrial digitalization projects, from basic and detailed engineering phases through to plant commissioning.
* Technical project monitoring, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality, functional requirements, and corporate and customer standards.
* Active collaboration in technical and project progress meetings.
**Technical Requirements:**
* 2 to 3 years of professional experience in programming and commissioning Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
* Solid knowledge of process and batch control systems, preferably in Siemens PCS 7\ environments.
* Experience with virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper‑V or similar) applied to industrial systems.
* Ability to analyze industrial processes and develop robust, scalable control solutions.
* Willingness to travel as required by project needs.
* Advanced level of English, both spoken and written, in technical contexts.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Knowledge and experience in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and safety technologies.
* Familiarity with simulation technologies and Digital Twin development.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Visual Basic, C\+\+, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, XML, JSON.
* Experience in web application development.
* Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and/or chemical sectors.
