We are seeking a highly motivated Materials Engineer to join our team in Spain. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of materials innovation. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, testing and optimisation of materials with a focus on enhancing physical and mechanical properties for demanding engineering applications. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team developing lightweight, high\-performance structures from concept through to production. All applicants must be eligible to work in Spain. **Responsibilities / What you will do** * Lead and support the development of new materials for additive manufacturing, with emphasis on metals and advanced alloys. * Characterise and optimise material physical properties (e.g., strength, ductility, fatigue, thermal performance, corrosion resistance). * Conduct experimental testing and analysis of powders, feedstocks and printed materials. * Collaborate with process engineers and design teams to ensure material performance aligns with end\-use applications. * Develop and maintain material databases, test standards and qualification processes for AM materials. * Support R\&D projects, contributing to technical reports, publications and presentations. * Stay current with emerging materials, technologies and industry standards in AM and related manufacturing methods. **Experience / Who you are** * Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field. * Proven experience in materials development for additive manufacturing (e.g., powder metallurgy, laser powder bed fusion, binder jetting, or similar). * Strong background in physical property characterisation (mechanical, thermal, microstructural analysis). * Hands\-on experience with materials testing techniques (tensile, hardness, fatigue, microscopy, spectroscopy). * Ability to design and execute experiments, interpret data and draw actionable conclusions. * Proficiency in technical reporting and ability to communicate results to both technical and non\-technical stakeholders. * Knowledge of design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) and process–material interactions. * Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) or simulation tools for materials behaviour. * Experience with quality systems and materials qualification frameworks (e.g., aerospace or automotive standards). **What we offer** * Competitive salary and benefits package based on experience. * Long\-term role with opportunities for technical and professional development. * Involvement in exciting, high\-performance programmes across multiple industries. * Access to state\-of\-the\-art tools and engineering facilities. * Supportive and dynamic team culture, with strong emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement. * Access to a range of benefits that support your well\-being, including private medical insurance.
