GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Carry out all or part of the quality functions for the JIT plant in one or multiple areas. POSITION SCOPE Provide daily support to the customer, supplier, and operations regarding quality concerns and product-related planning, in order to promote and maintain the quality standards established by the customer and the company. Must be a customer-focused leader, business-oriented, and capable of demonstrating excellent knowledge of quality control processes and systems. Good communicator, able to work well under pressure. Ensure compliance with governance requirements, initiatives, and practices by promoting and consistently operating controls during the execution of daily responsibilities. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Coordinate the receipt, response, and follow-up of customer AIMS reports, ensuring containment actions, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions are implemented. * Provide technical support to production personnel so they can operate efficiently and meet quality requirements. * Provide the plant and customer with all necessary documentation and participate in corporate and customer requirements, for example: IATF 16949, ANPQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Lear quality reporting systems. * Ensure all quality-related documentation is completed accurately and timely according to predefined requirements. * Prepare documentation for internal and external measurements in the form of MOS charts, for example RPPMs, DPPMs, etc., for quality performance evaluation and tracking. * Conduct training and onboarding of new members in the Quality department, ensuring all staff are properly trained. * Ensure operational personnel continuously understand internal and external quality standards and concerns to help maintain quality standards. * Communicate and coordinate quality information across all internal departments through MOS charts and 8Ds to ensure compliance. * Continuously consider and propose, when appropriate, new methods for implementing and controlling quality standards to continuously improve the company's quality performance. * Support in preparing and maintaining documentation and systems to comply with TS 16949\. Ensure no major or minor non-conformities exist. * Coordinate, maintain, and interpret statistical information provided by suppliers and contractors to meet customer requirements and ensure their specifications are met. * Ensure product inspection procedures, reports, and documentation are completed accurately and timely so that each product has full traceability. * Ensure FMEAs and control plans are regularly reviewed and updated when 8Ds arise, product/process changes occur, or quality concerns emerge (e.g., FCPA), informing all relevant personnel. * When necessary, organize daily activities of Quality Technicians—including shift workers and those located at customer facilities—ensuring all their duties are performed timely. * Work as a team to maintain the collaborative work philosophy within Lear. * Stop production if necessary to correct quality issues. * Perform internal audits, report findings, and ensure implementation of corrective/preventive actions. * Issue Quality Notices to suppliers and ensure robust containment actions are implemented. Coordinate SQTS responses until status "sent for closure." Perform weekly MOS updates for suppliers. * Report findings from sorting activities to the respective suppliers. * Ensure Special Characteristics are properly managed. ### **Requirements** TECHNICAL SKILLS Preferred * Engineering and Quality. * Statistical Control Tools. * IATF 16949\ certification. * ISO 14001\ certification. Required * 2 years of work experience in a Quality/Manufacturing environment (Engineering, Quality) or automotive experience. * Demonstrate competence in modern tools and methodologies. * Problem-solving skills using the 8D methodology. QUALIFICATIONS Preferred * Degree in Engineering. * Degree in Quality. Required * Degree in Science, Quality-related field, Organization, Engineering, or equivalent. * Project Management. * Statistical tools.
