Location: Madrid Contract: Permanent Working hours: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday Work mode: On-site, with possibility of remote work on Fridays Salary: €45,000 – €55,000 gross annual salary + performance-based bonuses Start date: Immediate About the company A nationally operating construction company, currently in a phase of growth and consolidation, is seeking to hire a Studies Technician to strengthen its technical department in Madrid. The selected candidate will participate in the analysis and preparation of bids for construction and infrastructure projects, collaborating with various internal departments, engineering firms, suppliers, and specialized contractors. What will be your mission? You will be responsible for conducting technical and economic studies for assigned projects, preparing competitive, rigorous, and specification-compliant proposals. You will have direct involvement throughout the entire study process—from initial project analysis through to preparation of the technical and economic documentation required for bid submission. Key responsibilities Technical analysis of assigned projects, including drawings, reports, quantity take-offs, and tender specifications. Assessment of technical and economic feasibility of works. Preparation of budgets, quantity take-offs, and economic comparisons. Sourcing, analyzing, and negotiating supplier, industrial, and specialized contractor quotations. Identification and sourcing of potential collaborators and subcontractors. Analysis of the project environment, including production plants, quarries, borrow pits, landfills, and available resources. Preparation of technical documentation required for tender processes. Drafting of technical reports, execution methodologies, schedules, and improvement proposals. Coordination of specialized studies and documentation prepared by external engineering firms. Analysis of alternative construction methods and cost-optimization proposals. Collaboration with production, procurement, and contracting departments. Monitoring of bid submission deadlines and requirements. Final review of technical and economic documentation prior to submission. Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Roads, Canals and Ports), Architecture, Technical Architecture, Building Engineering, or equivalent degree. Degree officially recognized in Spain. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Studies Technician within a construction company. Experience in studying and preparing bids for construction, civil works, or infrastructure projects. Ability to interpret drawings, quantity take-offs, budgets, and technical documentation. Knowledge of construction processes, costs, productivity rates, and market prices. Advanced proficiency in measurement and budgeting software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and planning tools. Analytical ability, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Results-oriented mindset and adherence to deadlines. Negotiation and interpersonal skills for engaging with suppliers, industrial partners, and external collaborators. Experience in public and private tenders, as well as familiarity with software such as Presto, Arquímedes, Project, AutoCAD, or similar tools will be highly valued.
