Our aeronautics team develops innovative solutions for complex missions, integrating disciplines such as aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, control, and optimization. Behind the projects that have positioned us as industry leaders—from UAS platforms for complex missions to internally developed automated design tools—are engineers capable of integrating aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, control, and mission requirements into a single aircraft architecture. **Your Responsibilities:** * Lead and support multidisciplinary design and optimization activities for UAS platforms, from conceptual to detailed design phases. * Develop and maintain sizing, performance, mass, aerodynamic, propulsion, and stability models. * Conduct conceptual and preliminary design studies, including sensitivity analyses and trade-offs among configurations. * Define and evaluate mission profiles, performance constraints, and operational envelopes. * Integrate aerodynamic, structural, propulsion, control, and systems considerations into aircraft-level design decisions. * Perform optimization studies on geometry, mass distribution, propulsion sizing, aerodynamic efficiency, control authority, and mission performance. * Support definition of requirements, design constraints, margins, and verification logic. * Generate technical documentation, design study reports, and engineering presentations. * Contribute to the development of internal tools, automated workflows, and data-driven design processes. **What We Expect From You:** * Experience in conceptual and preliminary aircraft design, preferably for UAS. * Proficiency in multidisciplinary analysis and optimization methodologies, including constrained optimization and design space exploration. * Strong knowledge of flight mechanics, aerodynamic modeling, aircraft performance, mass properties, propulsion integration, and structural sizing. * Ability to interpret simulation results, identify design drivers, and justify technical recommendations. * Experience with numerical methods, design automation, parametric modeling, uncertainty management, and sensitivity analysis. * Sound engineering judgment and ability to work with incomplete or evolving requirements. * Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, and programming in C\+\+ and Python (with experience in OpenMDAO, PyOptSparse, or similar frameworks). * Familiarity with OpenVSP, XFLR5, CATIA, and CFD/aerodynamic solvers will be considered a strong asset. **What We Offer You:** These are some of the benefits you will enjoy at Sener: * Opportunity to participate in innovative, high-technology international projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team. * Better time management through our flexible working hours and remote work policies. * Salary optimization via our flexible compensation plan (meal vouchers, private health insurance, childcare vouchers, etc.), plus life and accident insurance. * Comprehensive physical and emotional wellbeing program, including sports activities, workshops, etc. * Professional development support, including technical training, soft skills development, language courses, etc., to help you grow and achieve your goals. * Commitment to equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion; certified as a Family-Friendly Entity (efr).
