We are looking for a Task Manager – Software Engineer to join a defense-sector simulation team in a highly technical and regulated environment. This role combines software development with operational task management and tracking. We’re looking for you… What will you do on the project? The successful candidate will be responsible for: * Software development and maintenance in ADA, C, and/or C\+\+. * Working in Linux environments, scripting, and source code management tools. * Supervising progress of tasks and technical activities via Atlassian Jira. * Preparing status reports and reporting progress to the client. * Participating in planning and tracking of deliverables. * Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a proactive, results-oriented attitude. * Ensuring compliance with defense-sector quality standards and processes. Your Profile To thrive in this position, you should be comfortable with: * A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field. * Demonstrable experience in software engineering within critical environments. * Solid knowledge of: ADA (or equivalent experience in C/C\+\+, given that ADA derives from and shares structures with these languages), C / C\+\+, Linux, scripting, and version control tools. * Prior experience in the defense or aerospace sector. * Teamwork capability and a proactive attitude. * Experience with Atlassian Jira and technical tracking methodologies. * Mandatory English proficiency at B2\-C1 level.
