**About Us** At Symrise, we are seeking a Project Engineer to lead and coordinate the successful execution of engineering projects at our production plant. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the planning, design, installation, and commissioning of industrial systems and equipment, guaranteeing that technical solutions align with business needs, safety standards, and operational excellence. The position requires a solid engineering foundation, ideally in Chemical Engineering, enabling understanding of production processes, equipment behavior, and technical constraints inherent to an industrial environment. You will act as the liaison point between Engineering, Operations, suppliers, and various stakeholders, directly contributing to the long-term efficiency, reliability, and performance of our facilities. **Your Role** **Project Management and Execution** * Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning through execution to final delivery. * Coordinate activities related to commercial, technical, logistical, and commissioning phases. * Contribute to project portfolio and budget management, handling multiple projects simultaneously. **Engineering and Technical Expertise** * Perform technical calculations (mechanical and thermodynamic) related to production equipment. * Supervise the installation of equipment and piping systems in production areas. * Ensure all solutions comply with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements. **Procurement and Equipment Management** * Define and validate technical specifications for equipment and materials. * Support procurement processes to ensure technically and economically optimal solutions. **On-site Coordination and Operations** * Coordinate installation and engineering activities with various plant departments. * Support facility engineering and maintenance activities. * Monitor project progress and identify and escalate potential risks or deviations. **Supplier and Contractor Management** * Supervise and coordinate the work of external contractors and suppliers. * Ensure compliance with established quality, safety, and technical requirements. **Continuous Improvement** * Contribute to improving operational reliability, energy efficiency, and cost optimization. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. **About You** * University degree in Chemical Engineering (preferably) or Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines. * Experience or strong interest in project management within industrial or manufacturing environments. * Solid knowledge of production processes and industrial equipment, ideally in the chemical, food, fragrance, or similar sectors. * Experience participating in multidisciplinary projects. * Knowledge of SAP or similar systems is considered a plus. * Familiarity with food safety regulations, GMP, or industrial standards is considered an advantage. * Excellent coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse functional areas. * Proactive mindset, results orientation, and motivation for continuous improvement and operational excellence. **Our Offer** At Symrise, you will have the opportunity to grow professionally and be part of inspiring experiences that contribute to the well-being of millions of people in over 160 countries.
