We are seeking plant operators to operate and maintain a major steam sales facility powered by a biomass boiler located near Cáseda; the client is a key player in the food industry.
AVAILABILITY TO WORK ROTATING SHIFTS—the plant operates 24/7.
Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
* Plant operations during your shift. You will be responsible for biomass supply as well as the operation of the biomass boiler.
* Execution of first-level maintenance according to the CMMS.
* Ensuring contractual thermal production.
* Ensuring demand fulfillment and compliance with contractual quality requirements.
* Operational-level interaction with the client.
* Compliance with ENGIE’s Occupational Health and Safety standards.
* Compliance with ENGIE’s Quality and Environmental standards.
Minimum Requirements:
* Education: Vocational Training Level II (FP II) in mechanical, electrical, or maintenance management fields—or equivalent.
* Experience: Operation of energy and service plants in the industrial sector, such as:
o Steam or hot water production facilities using biomass
o Combined heat and power (CHP) plants
o Conventional steam plants
o Conventional hot water or superheated water plants
o Conventional industrial service installations (e.g., compressed air, industrial refrigeration, etc.)
o Low-voltage (LV) electrical installations
* Knowledge of the biomass sector—including its management and specific characteristics for energy production—will be valued.
* Customer management capability.
Desired Qualifications:
* General office software proficiency (Excel, Word), CMMS supervision systems, and others.
* Languages: Language skills will be valued.
* Relevant experience operating industrial equipment and biomass installations is highly desirable.
