Job Description
Grupo 5 is a company specialized in managing and developing social and socio-healthcare services. It comprises a team of over 4,700 professionals who provide daily care to 5,100 individuals in situations of social vulnerability, aiming to improve their well-being and quality of life. We deliver services across more than 150 centers and facilities in the areas of mental health, neurorehabilitation, elderly care, dependency support, social emergencies, homelessness, child protection, and social education.
Currently, we are seeking a Geriatric Caregiver to join our TRIANA RESIDENCE — a 44-bed facility specializing in elderly care and mental health, located in Madrid.
WHAT WILL YOU DO DAILY?
* Provide direct care, personal support, training, and supervision for self-care and daily living activities, promoting user autonomy in this area and in interactions with their environment.
* Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness standards according to each user’s individual care plan, respecting their privacy.
* Organize users’ time and maintain appropriate daily and dietary routines by adhering to internal regulations. Monitor and supervise users’ sleep schedules to ensure proper rest.
* Correctly use technical aids and communication systems for users who require them.
* Provide individualized accompaniment and support to users to enhance their physical, psychological, and psychosocial functioning.
* Implement individual behavioral intervention programs covering dress habits, rehabilitation, monitoring, and record-keeping, coordinated with psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, registered nurses (DUEs), and other technical staff.
* Collaborate in documenting problematic behaviors and other records that contribute to improving users’ quality of life, by providing relevant information to the various professionals working with users.
* Carry out interventions following technical team guidelines, detailing progress of training and promotion of autonomy across all areas of each user’s life, and sharing updates during monthly residential meetings.
* Collaborate in assessment and planning tasks across various psychosocial care and intervention domains: self-care, activities of daily living, psychomotor skills, leisure and free time, community integration, etc.
* Accompany, support, and supervise users during training and activities both on-site and in the community, including use of socio-community resources (e.g., participation in local festivals and events).
* Support and train users toward autonomy in psychosocial and leisure/free-time activities, pursuing normalization and community integration goals established by the center’s technical team, including accompanying users during annual vacations and occasional organized outings.
