The selected candidate will have the opportunity to manage our catering and special events services at a major client center. **Responsibilities:** * **Pre\-event planning:** Knowledge of site inspection for events to assess access points, loading areas, electrical infrastructure, kitchen capacity, and potential operational difficulties. * Place **wine cellar and service material orders**, including items for the dining area and back-of-house. * **Inventory control:** Verify that all materials issued from storage are returned, and account for breakages/losses. Inventory of beverages. * **Administrative closing:** Manage staff attendance sheets, incident reports, closing of attended guests, wine cellar inventory, communication of incidents, and final event closure. * **Staff supervision:** Knowledge of staffing ratios and calculations for dining, kitchen, and logistics personnel required to deliver services. * **Dining hall management:** Ability to organize and coordinate service in the dining area, assigning and distributing waitstaff efficiently. * **Post\-event report:** Record what worked well and what can be improved, noting each client’s preferences and specific requirements. Competencies: * Customer service: Ability to interact with clients, anticipating and resolving problems and needs. * Leadership, motivation, and successful team management skills. * Ability to work efficiently and manage one’s own time in a high-performance work environment. * Proficiency in Excel and Office suite. * Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for travel to the center.
