The AFANIAS Families Association was founded in 1964 and works daily to become a leading organization in intellectual disability, with social presence and influence, facilitating autonomy and quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities and their families, while responding to the life cycle needs of these individuals. In this context, the position of Social Integration Technician is open for AFANIAS’s Independent Living Service. The role’s mission is to support service users in their social integration process by designing and implementing individualized intervention actions. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist women with disabilities in overcoming barriers, obstacles, or difficulties that may hinder their holistic development, ensuring their continued participation and progress. * Promote free decision-making, independence, and participation to facilitate coexistence within the social environment. * Support job search efforts and coordinate with external labor-related resources. * Identify needs and determine individualized support measures required by women; apply appropriate support measures for each user. * Mediation and follow-up of all actions established to improve and strengthen the social integration and labor stability of the women served. * Develop any necessary training programs to support women’s adaptation to and integration into social and working life. * Develop socio-labor skills; foster and enhance the autonomy and independence of women with disabilities, especially in carrying out daily tasks. * Identify, intervene in, and report possible processes of progressive deterioration among women with disabilities, aiming to prevent and/or mitigate their effects. * Collaborate with technical teams in planning individual and collective activities required by service users at our social centers. * Report to supervisors any observed incidents that may violate individuals’ dignity or compromise the ethical values upheld by our association. Qualification: Social Integration Technician. At least one year of relevant experience in similar roles, active support, cognitive accessibility, and new technologies. Customer-oriented and service-focused individual, skilled in person-centered planning, teamwork, and organizational abilities. Positive and constructive attitude. Demonstrated high capacity for proactive and autonomous work. Social sensitivity and commitment to social causes, particularly disability. Driving license category B1 (desirable). Availability to work mornings and afternoons, depending on the needs of supervised group homes. Minimum one year of experience in services supporting women with intellectual disabilities and/or victims of gender-based violence. Specific training in gender-based violence (minimum 100 hours) and intellectual disability (minimum 100 hours), or experience delivering such training. Temporary contract, with potential conversion to indefinite. Full-time position, afternoon shift. Availability to work WEEKENDS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.
