Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring proactive and resolution-oriented management of Backup & Disaster Recovery incidents, guaranteeing a high-quality experience for end customers. Lead and execute large-scale data recovery processes. * Permanent * Full-time * Hybrid (28108, Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain) * Backup \& Disaster Recovery **Job Mission** Ensure proactive and resolution-oriented management of Backup \& Disaster Recovery incidents, guaranteeing a high-quality experience for end customers. This includes proper administration of managed backup services and efficient resolution of production environment incidents, aiming to increase customer satisfaction levels and reinforce confidence in contracted services. **What responsibilities and tasks will you handle?** Full management of the Backup \& Disaster Recovery team (5 people). End-to-end management of Veeam Backup \& Replication: * Design, implement, and maintain the Veeam Backup \& Replication architecture. * Configure and optimize backup jobs. * Manage and optimize replication and backup copy jobs (Backup Copy Jobs) to ensure data resilience. * Proactively perform Veeam updates and patches, ensuring compatibility and environment stability. Recovery and Restoration: * Lead and execute large-scale data recovery processes, including restoration of complete virtual machines, individual items (files, emails, database elements), and critical applications. * Design and test Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) using Veeam, ensuring the organization’s ability to recover from severe incidents. * Conduct periodic restore tests and backup validation to verify data integrity and recoverability. Monitoring and Optimization: * Actively monitor Veeam performance, backup storage usage, and job success rates using Veeam ONE and other monitoring tools. * Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues within the backup infrastructure. * Optimize data retention and storage capacity by implementing deduplication and compression strategies. Advanced Troubleshooting: * Diagnose and resolve complex Veeam-related issues, such as backup/replication job failures, connectivity problems, VSS errors, and repository corruption. * Collaborate with other IT teams (servers, networking, storage) to resolve cross-departmental issues affecting backups.
