Objective
ENTITY DESCRIPTION.
Since 1994, the Barró Association has managed various projects across the Madrid municipalities of Ciudad Lineal, Puente de Vallecas, and Cañada Real Galiana, with the mission of accompanying, promoting, and sharing socio-educational processes that foster personal and community development for individuals and their surroundings facing social inequality. It pursues this through holistic, participatory, and network-based education aimed at equal opportunities.
Over its 30-year history, the organization implements projects across three intervention areas to address challenges faced by children, adolescents, families, and populations experiencing social vulnerability: (1) childhood, youth, and family; (2) intercultural social mediation and community development; and (3) social inclusion, employment, and volunteering.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Indefinite contract for a Social Educator, working 25 hours per week, to engage with children, adolescents, and their families in socio-educational activities (academic support, healthy leisure, personal skills, social skills) within the Childhood Project in Puente de Vallecas.
FUNCTIONS
Planning, facilitating, and evaluating academic support activities for children and adolescents participating in the Barró Association’s Puente de Vallecas project.
Designated educator for groups of children and adolescents involved in the project.
Developing individualized educational plans for participating children, girls, and adolescents.
Jointly planning, designing, and facilitating sociocommunity activities.
Coordinating with other professionals comprising the team.
Coordinating and collaborating with relevant social agents and/or professionals connected to project participants.
Designing, delivering, conducting, and evaluating workshops on emotional education, conflict resolution, gender equality, and prevention of violent behavior.
Coordinating with educational institutions and monitoring participants in the Association’s Childhood and Family Project in Puente de Vallecas.
Actively participating in healthy leisure programs and initiatives fostering social and personal skills—particularly summer camps and residential camps.
REQUIREMENTS
University degree in Social Education and/or related fields.
Dynamic, proactive, and empathetic attitude, with strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proven experience of at least one year in socio-educational intervention with adolescents.
Knowledge and experience providing academic support to children and adolescents.
Gender equality training is desirable.
A valid driving license B1 is desirable.
CONDITIONS
25-hour weekly schedule\*, Monday to Friday, occasionally including weekends.
Indefinite contract under the Collective Agreement for Social Action and Intervention, Professional Group 02.
Afternoon working hours\*, with flexible scheduling according to intervention needs.
