Architecture design and discussions on Dataset ownership **Description:** ---------------- At **Cognodata**, a leading company in Customer Science and Marketing Automation dedicated to generating business results through advanced customer data management, we are looking for a **Data Engineer** with experience in **Data Mesh** for banking-sector projects. We seek a candidate who not only understands **Data Mesh**, but has also faced its challenges in practice: from defining data contracts to negotiating with domain teams, and building the self\-serve infrastructure that enables them. If you are someone who enjoys both designing architectures and debating with business stakeholders about Dataset ownership, this opportunity is for you. **Requirements:** --------------- * 3\-5 years of experience in data engineering. * Practical experience working in environments applying Data Mesh principles or decentralized data architectures. * Solid understanding of the 4 Data Mesh principles and ability to apply them in day\-to\-day technical decisions. * Proficiency in AWS Data Services: S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, Redshift, Step Functions. * Experience with pipeline orchestrators (Airflow, AWS MWAA, or similar). * Advanced SQL and Python skills. * Experience with modern columnar formats: Parquet, Delta Lake, or Apache Iceberg. * DataOps culture: Git, CI/CD applied to data, testing, and automation.
