Are you motivated to participate in international public transportation projects, working with BackOffice systems, cloud architectures, and microservices? At NOVANOTIO, we are looking for a Functional Analyst – BackOffice Tolling to participate in international projects aimed at implementing scalable and resilient platforms capable of handling large transaction volumes in near real-time. The selected candidate will work on solutions related to public transportation systems, including transaction management modules, OCR, reconciliation, billing, customer support, dispute management, and revenue assurance, as well as integrations with payment gateways, external systems, and clearing houses. WHAT DO WE OFFER? Work Modality: 100% remote. Location: Preferably Madrid, with occasional office attendance when required. Permanent contract. Participation in international projects focused on markets such as the United States and Australia. Continuous training tailored to your professional interests. Flexible compensation. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Analyze and define functional requirements for BackOffice systems. Participate in the functional design of microservices-based solutions. Design and document REST APIs. Model and design relational SQL databases. Prepare functional documentation and requirement traceability. Liaise with clients and international stakeholders. Support development teams and validate deliverables. Participate in the evolution of systems deployed in cloud environments. Adapt solutions to regulatory and operational requirements across different international markets. KEY REQUIREMENTS: Experience as a Functional Analyst. Experience in defining requirements and preparing functional documentation. Experience in designing REST APIs. Experience in designing and modeling relational SQL databases. Experience with microservices-based architectures. Experience in cloud environments. High-level English proficiency (minimum C1), with fluent communication skills. DESIRED KNOWLEDGE: Experience with ticketing or public transportation systems. Knowledge of reconciliation processes, IoT, and payments. Experience integrating with payment gateways or external systems. Experience in international projects, especially in the United States or Australia.
