BBVA is a global company with more than 160 years of history that operates in more than 25 countries where we serve more than 80 million customers. We are more than 121,000 professionals working in multidisciplinary teams with profiles as diverse as financiers, legal experts, data scientists, developers, engineers and designers.
**Learn more about the area:**
Over the past five years, BBVA has established itself as a leader in mobile banking (its mobile app for customers in Spain has been awarded for seven consecutive years as the world’s best banking app by Forrester). One of the key drivers behind this transformation has been the design team — comprising over 400 professionals across more than five offices — which has helped transform BBVA into a service-oriented organization leading the financial industry and enabling people to connect more closely with their personal or business purpose. Team members define themselves as user advocates, "thinkers and doers", and agents of change.
This transformative vision led BBVA to receive the Special Mention in Design, in the Corporate category, at the 2020 National Innovation and Design Awards, conferred by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, for "its unquestionable contribution to promoting design culture and its ability to build strong bridges between traditional business areas and the world of strategic design".
