We’re looking for you!** We seek a candidate with a background in **Occupational Risk Prevention, Industrial Safety, and Chemical Engineering**, responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving health, safety, and environmental management systems on-site. Your primary objective will be ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing operational risks, and fostering a robust, sustainable preventive culture within a highly regulated environment. ### **What will your day-to-day look like at Matteco?** * Supervise regulatory compliance regarding health and safety (occupational and industrial), applicable both to internal staff and contractors. * Plan, execute, and monitor preventive and corrective actions, conducting risk assessments to identify improvements and ensure implementation. * Lead Process Safety Management, guaranteeing operational process safety and issuing safety sign\-offs for new equipment, facilities, and ergonomic evaluations. * Investigate and record occupational accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and proposing measures to prevent recurrence. * Draft, review, and maintain technical and preventive documentation—including Emergency Plans, internal and external communications, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for products. * Deliver training and information to staff on prevention, PPE usage, industrial hygiene, and best practices to promote safe behavior. * Conduct internal inspections and audits of the management system to detect deviations and ensure legal and corporate compliance. * Coordinate closely with the technical department to maintain industrial machinery in safe operating condition and participate in technical\-operational risk assessments. * Coordinate and supervise activities of external prevention services (SPA). ### **What will make you succeed in this role?** **Academic Background** * Degree in Engineering—preferably Chemical or Industrial—or Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety, or related fields. * Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention covering all three specialties (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics/Psychosociology). * Additional qualification as ADR Safety Advisor for dangerous goods transport is desirable. **Technical Knowledge** * In-depth knowledge of legal regulations governing safety, occupational health, and environmental protection. * Training and experience with Integrated Management Systems (ISO 45001) and participation in audits. * Familiarity with coordination of business activities (CAE) and use of management platforms. * Proficiency in drafting and updating technical documentation, emergency plans, and procedures. **Professional Experience** * 2–5+ years of experience in HSE roles within highly regulated industrial environments—such as chemical manufacturing, hazardous products, or other heavily regulated sectors. * Participation in continuous improvement projects and internal audits. **Skills and Competencies** * Analytical ability, strong attention to detail, autonomy in problem-solving, and a pronounced sense of ownership. * Ability to coordinate teams, lead improvement projects, and effectively influence others.
