Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement. **Description:** ---------------- At Etxetar, a leading company in the design and manufacturing of machining and laser machinery and solutions for high-precision metal part production, we are looking for a Safety Engineer to manage safety across projects. Your primary mission will be to provide technical safety judgment and practical safety solutions for daily operations, supporting production, maintenance, and engineering teams to integrate safety into processes and machinery design. Main Responsibilities: Provide technical safety judgment for daily operations at production facilities. Assess risks associated with machinery, processes, and operations, proposing realistic and implementable technical solutions. Design, implement, and validate safety improvements on equipment and production lines (guards, interlocks, stop systems, etc.). Advise engineering and maintenance teams on machinery design and modifications, ensuring safe measures are integrated from the outset. Coordinate and participate in machinery compliance projects according to technical safety criteria, industrial best practices, and current regulations. Conduct plant safety inspections and follow up on corrective or preventive actions. Train and support area managers and middle management in risk identification and implementation of safe solutions. Promote a proactive safety culture within the organization, driving continuous improvement. Collaborate with the Occupational Health & Safety (PRL) and Quality departments to integrate safety into production and management processes. Competitive compensation commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. **Requirements:** --------------- Education and Requirements: University degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Completion of the Master’s Program in Occupational Risk Prevention (all three specialties, especially Safety) is highly valued, as are complementary trainings in Environment and Quality. Experience implementing ISO 45001 or equivalent standards is desirable. Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and automation drawings and translate them into effective safety measures. Ability to work cross-functionally across departments and deliver technically viable solutions. Intermediate/advanced level of English.
