Description

This position is an integral part of the port logistics cycle, playing an essential role in the flow of goods. The professional will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks and maritime containers using front-end or reach forklifts, ensuring safe and efficient handling of cargo. Additionally, maintaining warehouse order and productivity is critical; the role includes moving, organizing, and precisely positioning pallets on shelves and designated transit areas. The position requires a strong commitment to established safety procedures in the port environment, as well as the ability to integrate into a dynamic team. The work directly contributes to the supply chain, supporting operations within a high-volume, high-traffic logistics environment. Initiative and attention to detail will be highly valued to preserve cargo integrity and ensure compliance with operational protocols. Work takes place in a demanding yet structured environment where precision and responsibility are paramount qualities. Adaptability to shift schedules and port operations will be a key factor for satisfactory performance in this role, forming part of a complex yet well-organized logistics process. Working hours are part-time, with a contract of 4 hours per day totaling 20 hours per week, offering flexibility to balance with other personal activities. The schedule is stable, with a fixed shift to be agreed upon according to port operational requirements. Compensation is competitive and determined in accordance with the Logistics and Ports Collective Agreement, guaranteeing sector-standard labor conditions. A valid, officially certified forklift operator license is mandatory. A minimum of one year’s demonstrable experience operating forklifts is required, preferably in logistics warehouses or port environments. Experience operating electric pallet jacks or stackers will be considered a positive asset. Proximity of residence to the port and immediate availability are fundamental requirements for this position.
