We currently have more than 160 in-house experts delivering consulting services across diverse fields, including environmental audits and permits, sustainable finance and taxonomy, ESG, biodiversity and natural capital, climate change, environmental risk assessment, soil and water pollution mitigation, social impacts, sustainable buildings and infrastructure, acoustic impact, etc. We champion high technical qualification across all our staff, establish an international network for innovation and technological development, maintain an outstanding portfolio of top-tier clients and projects, and develop proprietary and collaborative digital solutions with technology partners. We are seeking to hire an Environmental Technician in Tenerife with experience in soil and groundwater investigations and remediation. **Key Responsibilities** * Planning and executing soil and groundwater investigations, including boreholes and sampling. * Ensuring chain-of-custody and coordinating sample shipment to laboratories. * Processing and analyzing data to assess contamination and drafting traceable technical reports. * Supporting remediation activities and conducting monitoring during remediation. * Coordinating with the Project Manager and Project Director on progress and risks. * Complying with health, safety, and environmental regulations while managing technical documentation. * Participating in multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining technical quality. * Interacting with clients and stakeholders. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Sciences, or related field. * Willingness and ability to travel between islands. * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; GIS experience preferred. * Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive to various sites across the island. * Demonstrated functional capacity required to perform the duties of the position (to be assessed at the start of employment via medical examination). * Knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental impact assessment. * Intermediate-level English (spoken and written) is considered a strong asset. **Additional Information** **About AECOM** AECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, offering professional services throughout the project lifecycle—from advisory, planning, design, and engineering to program management and construction.
