Department: Technical Services – Southern Hydraulic Production Unit (UPH Sur). A cross-functional department responsible for providing specialized technical support for the operation and maintenance of 56 hydraulic power plants located in Andalusia, Extremadura, and the province of Ávila. The team comprises multidisciplinary professionals specializing in mechanical and electrical maintenance, instrumentation and control, telecontrol, energy measurement, and maintenance planning, coordinating the implementation of corporate projects, standardization of technical criteria, and optimization of facility maintenance.
Training objectives During the internship, students will:
Organizational Management: Participate in the coordination and monitoring of maintenance planning, collaborating with various technical and regional areas within UPH Sur.
Data Analytics: Support the legal maintenance tracking of all UPH Sur hydraulic power plants using the SIGRID system, as well as analyze associated technical and operational information.
Digital Transformation and New Technologies: Participate in maintenance digitalization projects, such as tracking maintenance plans according to the corporate global catalog and document management on specific platforms (DMS).
Key Competencies: Develop teamwork, technical communication, autonomy, planning, and problem-solving skills in a real industrial environment.
Process Innovation: Collaborate on unique projects involving major overhauls, rehabilitations, and modernizations of hydraulic power plants, contributing to continuous improvement and technical criteria harmonization within the Unit.
Mentoring and follow-up Specialized mentoring with continuous support.
Progress evaluation through defined training objectives and periodic reviews.
Ongoing feedback oriented toward continuous improvement and professional development.
Candidate profile
Academic qualification: Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering.
Required skills: Analytical ability, technical rigor, results orientation, interest in the energy sector and industrial environments, and capacity for collaborative work.
Valued languages and tools: Languages: English level C1 (required).
Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint); knowledge of SAP and InGEN applications; project management knowledge; maintenance planning knowledge; knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Other requirements: Availability of a **personal vehicle** to access UPH Sur offices.
