Description
Hello!
I'm Paula, the recruiter for this position. I love traveling—especially to international destinations—and sushi is my favorite food. I'm also passionate about flamenco fashion and enjoy dancing sevillanas. As you can see, enthusiasm and diversity are part of my everyday life. It's a pleasure to meet you!
Perhaps this is the tenth job posting you've read today—while relaxing on the sofa with Netflix playing in the background—or you're in the middle of a major life transition… and they all seem identical to you.
Let me be clear: at Zurich, we're not perfect—but we're pretty awesome! And if you'd like to know why, keep reading.
First and foremost, THANK YOU for your interest in our company. We know that searching for new opportunities is often challenging—but don’t worry; everything comes in due time!
**Let’s get straight to the point!** I’ll summarize our DNA in two key points:
* We love volunteering—but we prefer to **be activists for change**. How? By focusing on young people at risk of social exclusion or fighting climate change through actions such as reforesting forests in Madrid and Doñana National Park. In 2024, we contributed over 20\.000 hours of activism.
* At Zurich, we say it loud and clear: we’re proud of our colors and believe that diverse teams make the difference. Here, we don’t talk about disability—we talk about ability. **Being your authentic self is our top priority**, without closets standing between us and without glass ceilings. Fifty percent of our leadership positions are held by women (including the Executive Committee). Did you know we produce our own podcasts on sexual identity? We’re building a company where everyone is welcome.
**You might be wondering: “Paula, what will my day-to-day look like wearing the blue jersey?” I love that question (I asked it myself at the time):**
We’re seeking a Regulatory Advisor to join the Claims Governance and QA team, reporting to the Technical Claims Office. This is a team committed to technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of claims processes. Your primary mission will be to ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations, providing technical and regulatory support to various business areas.
* Analyze and monitor regulatory requirements impacting claims management.
* Advise business areas on regulatory, governance, and compliance matters.
* Participate in defining, implementing, and reviewing internal procedures.
* Manage and resolve complex incidents and conflicts related to claims handling.
* Prepare reports, analyses, and recommendations to support decision-making.
* Actively participate in strategic and organizational transformation projects.
* Collaborate in product workshops, continuous improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary working groups.
* Deliver and support training sessions on regulatory, technical, and operational topics.
**By now, you’re probably asking yourself: “How do I know if I’m a good fit?”**
Don’t worry—I won’t ask you to save the planet or meet 100% of the requirements.
* You hold a university degree in Law.
* You have experience in claims handling and management, with knowledge of Diverse Claims being valued.
* You possess knowledge of regulations and rules applicable to the insurance sector.
* You feel comfortable analyzing complex situations and proposing solutions.
* You have the ability to make well-founded decisions and assume responsibility.
* You stand out for your communication and influence skills.
* You know how to collaborate effectively and foster consensus across teams.
* You have experience participating in projects, training, and continuous improvement environments.
* You’re interested in technological innovation and digital transformation.
* Advanced English language proficiency.
Right now, you’re either feeling the excitement of finding the perfect pair of pants—or thinking, “This isn’t for me.” (If it’s not for you, that’s perfectly fine—we’ll surely cross paths again in the future.) Feel free to play matchmaker and share my contact details with anyone you think might be a great fit.
At Zurich, we’re true **enjoyers of life**—we love living fully. I’d love to hear how we can make you happy, but personally, I love balancing my professional and personal life. Here, flexible working hours and genuine digital disconnection are real.
**\#BecauseWeAreZurich**, you can choose the benefits best suited to your needs. After all, tastes differ—and that’s perfectly okay.
* We offer an extremely flexible hybrid work model, allowing you to work however and wherever you want within Spain. We support you with a home-office allowance.
* We trust in the “learn-by-doing” philosophy, enabling you to move into other areas locally or internationally through our “Talent on the Move” program. To further your development and growth: English classes, training, and a personalized mentoring program.
* We aim to break conventional models of flexible compensation. With our benefits allowance, you can choose what suits you and your needs best: private health insurance, childcare, training, meal vouchers… and much more!
* We love spreading smiles—and at Zurich, we know it’s easier than it seems, which is why we’re activists. Why not dedicate an entire day to the cause that inspires you most?
* Referral bonus if you recommend talent like yourself. We’re not looking for perfection—but if you know someone awesome, please share my contact details. I’d love to meet them.
* If you’ve got a sporty spirit, at Zurich we’re going for gold! Marathons, races, gym discounts—and much more. 3, 2, 1… warm up—we’re off!
* Prefer beach or mountain? You’ll enjoy 25 vacation days plus your insurance day and birthday—so you can savor what you love most. But don’t be fooled: this is real disconnection. Because yes—we all deserve a break and to enjoy life, even if it’s just for two days.
* At Zurich, we think ahead to your future and offer retirement planning and life insurance.
* We seek the best prices for you! You’ll gain access to thousands of discounts on insurance and banking products.
If you’ve made it this far—THANK YOU for reading. What did you think? Are we awesome—or not?
If you felt butterflies in your stomach and believe we’re a great match, send up smoke signals—or your CV, if smoke isn’t your thing.
And finally—would you like to know what others who work at Zurich think? I’d tell you we remain among the top employers in Spain according to Top Employers España—but I encourage you to check our Glassdoor profile so they can tell you themselves. No tricks, no gimmicks.
I hope to meet you very soon.
Paula Moreno.
