Description
The position involves distributing light goods within a specific geographic area. The role includes organizing and loading packages into the assigned vehicle, ensuring all items are securely fastened and properly documented before starting the daily delivery route. The driver plans the most efficient route, adheres to scheduled timeframes, and guarantees that parcels arrive in perfect condition during transit. Customer or pickup point interaction is critical; therefore, courtesy and efficiency when delivering—and, if required, collecting signatures or documents—are essential.
The driver also performs basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure, and promptly reports any malfunctions or incidents to their supervisor. Driving must always be responsible and safe, adapting to traffic conditions and complying with all traffic regulations. Keeping the cargo area orderly and managing shipment documentation are daily tasks requiring attention to detail.
The contract is temporary, lasting one month, with potential extension depending on workload and business needs. Working hours are full-time, from 10:30 to 18:30, Monday through Sunday, with two rotating rest days. Compensation follows the applicable collective bargaining agreement, and necessary job-related training is provided.
A valid driver's license with at least eight points remaining and a minimum of one year’s holding period is required. Prior driving experience and practical knowledge of the assigned delivery area are mandatory. Candidates must possess route planning and orientation skills, as well as the ability to handle cargo safely.
